Moller International has announced that it has designed a hybrid flying car. The two-seater autovolantor is fashioned in the shape of a Ferrari Drive-Like-a-Million-Bucks 599 GTB with wings and is claimed to be capable of lifting off vertically from a traffic jam and flying at up to 150 mph for a short distance (about 15 minutes). The autovolantor is designed to function on the road very much like a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) using one of its eight Rotapower engines to generate enough electrical power to drive for up to 40 miles.

Всего на фестиваль 2007 года было подано рекордное количество заявок - 380, присланных из 40 стран мира и 20 городов России. В жюри фестиваля войдут известные специалисты по видео-арту из Москвы, Великобритании и Шотландии. Лучшие авторы конкурсной программы будут объявлены 9 сентября.

Албанский художник установил рекорд, создав самую большую в мире картину из пробок, посвященную жизни на Средиземноморье. Саимир Страти приклеил 229,764 пробок различных форм и цветов на пластиковый стенд, размером 12.94м на 7.1м, изобразив «Ромео в виноградном венке, играющего на гитаре и танцующего с солнцем и морем». Над картиной художник работал 28 дней по 14 часов и закончил свой шедевр в четверг. «Мне самому было приятно объявить, что господин Саимир Страти установил новый мировой рекорд Гиннеса за самую большую мозаику из бутылочных пробок», - говорит член жюри Гиннеса, Карлос Мартинез.

Новая экспозиция музея Больцано привлекла не только внимание туристов. Необычная скульптура высотой полтора метра, представляющая собой лягушку, прикованную к кресту с кружкой пива и яйцом в лапках, уже названа «кощунственной».

Работа, представленная в музее крохотного городка, вызвала гнев Папы Римского Бенедикта: «Скульптура оскорбляет религиозные чувства тех людей, для которых распятие является символом Божьей любви». Но администрация музея стоит на своем и не намерена убирать скульптуру. Директор музея, Алоис Лагедер, обосновал свое решение желанием сохранить независимость искусства.
